HOL(Y)STIC YOGA MOVEMENT TEACHER TRAINING (RYT 200)
The application process for the unique RYT 200 Hol(Y)stic Yoga Movement Teacher Training in the astonishing Alps has started.
The program has evolved over many years of dedicated practice and research, my countless written academic papers, my Master’s research in Indology, and a prospective PhD in the field.
I spent the last 20 years crafting an expertise in Yoga, Movement, Breath, Philosophy and Spirituality. I was trained by the best teachers in the world in all fields, and I am now sharing the knowledge and experience I have gathered through extensive training, practice, and teaching.
Against this background, the vision emerged to develop a yoga teacher training program that goes beyond the conventional and offers content often completely absent in traditional trainings.
At its core lies a movement-oriented approach that understands yoga not merely as a sequence of static postures, but as a living, flowing, and never-ending process. Similar to Vinyasa, movement becomes an experience of conscious transition, enabling a deeper embodiment of the practice.
At the same time, the central focus on training proprioception cultivates heightened awareness both inward and outward.
In this way, yoga becomes a practice that strengthens not only outer forms, but above all inner connections.
In addition to generally improved movement patterns, I teach not only the common techniques but also advanced and lesser-known breathing practices and somatic methods, a solid understanding of Sanskrit, as well as dimensions of yoga philosophy that are rarely addressed in conventional teacher trainings – including Buddhist perspectives.
Beyond the commonly taught content and contemporary practices, we will thus also explore lesser-known techniques and methods I encountered through my academic research, supporting you in expanding your understanding of the full scope of yogic practice.
My aspiration is to teach with both academic precision and practical clarity. This also includes lesser-known Sanskrit texts from both traditional and modern yoga philosophy, advanced prāṇāyāma and other breathing techniques, as well as insights from modern (neuro-)science, medicine, and physiotherapy – all directly applicable in practice.
In this tailor-made Hol(Y)stic Yoga Movement Teacher Training, I want to share not only my own knowledge but also the very best from the wider yoga world. That’s why I bring in top guest teachers for special modules – experienced yoga instructors and experts I’ve planned during 11 successful Yoga Days events in Gastein.
There, I carefully curated modules featuring what I consider the finest guest-teachers from the German-speaking area. Their expertise and energy now become an integral part of the Teacher Training – get ready for inspiring encounters, fresh perspectives, and deep insights to enrich both your practice and teaching.
