WOMEN ONLY CAMP
MARTIAL ARTS & MOVEMENT
HOL(Y)STIC MOVEMENT × MARTIAL ARTS RETREAT FOR WOMEN ONLY

PHUKET, THAILAND - FEBRUARY 2027

Fight, Move, Breathe and Recover. Get uncomfortable and curious. And eventually Feel alive.

A camp created by a woman, for women.

10 days in Phuket dedicated to Martial Arts, Hol(Y)stic Movement, physical challenge, recovery and female community.

Together, we’ll dive into the worlds of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and MMA, combining martial arts training with Mobility, Yoga, Strength & Conditioning, Breathwork, Somatics and Ice Baths.

You don’t have to be a fighter.
You don’t have to be particularly flexible or strong.
And you don’t need any previous martial arts experience.
All you need is the curiosity to discover what you are capable of.

WHY WOMEN ONLY?

Martial Arts can be incredibly empowering for women.
Of course, part of that is self-defense - developing physical options, learning to set and protect boundaries, and experiencing how technique, timing and body awareness can often matter more than pure strength.
But for me, it goes much further than that.
Many women have learned to experience their bodies primarily from the outside:
How does my body look?
Is it slim enough?
Flexible enough?
Attractive enough?
Good enough?

Martial Arts shift that perspective.

Suddenly, it’s about what your body can do.

How you move.
How you react.
How you generate power.
How you breathe under pressure.
How you recognize and communicate boundaries.
How you get back up when something doesn’t work.

A women-only retreat creates a space where we can explore exactly that together - without performance pressure and without feeling that you already need to prove yourself.
We get to be beginners. Ask questions. Fail. Laugh. Sweat. Fight. Support one another. And become stronger together.

Not against each other.

With each other.

MY MARTIAL ARTS JOURNEY

Martial Arts have actually been part of my life for almost as long as I can remember.
I started with Judo as a child. As a teenager, I discovered Capoeira, followed later by Muay Thai. Through MMA, I eventually began exploring Wrestling as well.
And then I found the discipline that completely captured me:
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Since 2023, BJJ has become a central part of my life.
On the mats, I’ve had the opportunity to meet and train with incredible athletes and learn from highly experienced professional fighters, coaches and practitioners.

And as much as I love the technical side of BJJ, there is something else that fascinates me just as much:
the community.
People with completely different backgrounds, bodies, personalities and life stories meet on the mats - and communicate through movement.
BJJ opened an entirely new world for me while, at the same time, bringing together so many things I had already been exploring for decades.

FOR ME, MARTIAL ARTS ARE APPLIED YOGA.

The longer I train, the more clearly I see the connection between Martial Arts and my own Movement practice.
In Yoga, we explore breath, body awareness, mobility, strength, balance, presence and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
In Martial Arts, we do exactly the same.
Except suddenly, the ground is moving.
And someone else is moving with you.
You can’t simply hold a position because it looks beautiful. You have to sense, react, adapt, improvise and keep breathing.
They call it "arte suave" - "the gentle art", but for me, this truely is Applied Yoga and Applied Movement.

My many years of experience in Yoga, Mobility, Strength and Movement now support my Martial Arts practice enormously - from movement understanding, coordination and mobility to transitions, body control and the ability to discover unconventional movement solutions.

At the same time, Martial Arts continue to transform the way I practice and teach Yoga and Movement.
The two worlds feed each other.

And it is exactly this connection that I want to share with you during this camp.

FIGHT × MOVE × RECOVER

During our time together in Phuket, we’ll train at selected Martial Arts gyms and explore different fighting disciplines : Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Muay Thai. MMA.

Our fight sessions are complemented by Hol(Y)stic Movement: Mobility to expand freedom of movement, functional Strength & Conditioning to build resilience, Yoga and Somatics to deepen body awareness and movement quality, and Breathwork and recovery practices to balance the intensity of training.

And then we step into the ice.
Ice Baths challenge us in a completely different way.
We can’t fight the cold.
Instead, we learn to meet it. To breathe. To stay present. And to discover how we respond when things become uncomfortable.

The camp follows a conscious rhythm between:
Fight & Flow.
Strength & Softness.
Intensity & Recovery.
Challenge & Play.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A FIGHTER.

Maybe you’ve always wanted to try Martial Arts but never felt comfortable walking into a gym, often predominantly ruled by men, alone.
Maybe you already train and want to explore other disciplines.
Maybe you come from Yoga, Movement or Fitness and you’re curious to experience your physical abilities in an entirely new context.
Or maybe you simply want to spend a week doing something that takes you beyond what feels familiar.
Then this camp is for you.

We train together.
We learn together.
We sweat together.
We fail together.
We laugh together.
We recover together.
We treat eachother.

And maybe you’ll return home with more than new techniques.

Maybe you’ll leave with an entirely new understanding of what your body is capable of.

FOR WOMEN ONLY.
ALL LEVELS WELCOME.
NO FIGHTING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
